FIM has published the rules that will regulate the 2021 FIM S1GP SuperMoto World Championship.
Format of the event:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1X Time Practise<\/td>25 min<\/td>32<\/td><\/tr>
1 X “Superpole”<\/td>2 laps per rider<\/td>6<\/td><\/tr>
1 X Warm-up<\/td>20 min<\/td>32<\/td><\/tr>
1 X “RaceOne”<\/td>x laps (~ 20min)<\/td>32<\/td><\/tr>
1 X “Fast Race”<\/td>x laps (~ 15min)<\/td>32<\/td><\/tr>
1 X “SuperFinal”<\/td>x laps (~ 20min)<\/td>32<\/td><\/tr>

\u201cSuperPole\u201d<\/strong>
The winner of the \u201cSuperPole\u201d earns 1 World Championship point.
Starting positions<\/strong>
The riders\u2019 starting positions are determined as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • For \u201cRaceOne\u201d and the \u201cFast Race\u201d: according to the results of the Time Practice (positions 7 to 32) and the SuperPole (positions 1 to 6).<\/li>
  • For the \u201cSuperFinal\u201d: according to the results of the \u201cFastRace\u201d (positions 1 to 32).
    \u201cJoker Lane\u201d<\/strong>
    Introduction of a \u201cJoker Lane\u201d on the course which:<\/li>
  • May be used by the riders during the Free Practices and the Warm-Up.<\/li>
  • May be used by the riders during the Warm-Up lap preceding the \u201cSuperFinal\u201d.<\/li>
  • Must be used by the riders one time and not more than once otherwise they will receive a 5 places down penalty in the results of the \u201cSuperFinal\u201d.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    It resembles the schedules used by World Superbike (WSBK) with Superpole and total number of races. And adding to that the Joker Lane that has been used in the Monster Energy supercross cup (SX).
    Both the WSBK and the SX series have a wide range of viewers each week. Maybe this is something that will speak to the audience and keep them coming back for more?
